A Parliamentary Debate on the future funding of the Tamar Tolls has been branded a “sham” by Liberal Democrats after opposition MPs were prevented from taking part.
The last SE Cornwall MP secured funding for the Dobwalls bypass, which is the fastest and safest piece of road in South East Cornwall. If only our current Conservative MP had followed that example, we could have more of the safe roads we deserve.

LibDems voted AGAINST the increase at every opportunity, but on all 5 occasions, Conservative &/or Labour Councillors voted FOR tolls to increase by 15% from £2.60 to £3.00. Either of the 2 big parties could have stopped the increase, but chose not to.
The top concern for many voters in the recent Looe West By-Election, is the lack of affordable housing in South East Cornwall, which is worst in our seaside towns and villages due to the uncontrolled spread of holiday properties.
